Just opening and reading a few words or any of my newsletters is really all I want. Skim through and find the part that interests you. Let me know which part of the newsletter you like to read the most.
You know what, now that I think about it. Writing was impossible when I was in school. Anytime the writing prompt was to write about me, a memory, or an experience from my life, I didn’t want to. I didn’t want people to read about me or what I’m thinking. I always dreaded writing about any part of my life. Now I can still see that I don’t really write about myself. I just write about the surface level things. What books I’m reading, what game I’m playing, or what anime I’m watching. But nothing on the day to day or life events. To be fair, there’s nothing happening other than the mundane things.
90 Days, 12 Books: A Reader's Confession
I read 12 books, and none of them were short. Some I read in a few days. Some in a couple of weeks. Overall, I enjoyed the last 3 months of reading. I was solely reading for the past 3 months. Not much else was going on. I put out my newsletters. I wrote a few blog posts. I made some more digital planner sets. But outside of that, I really was just read…

Nintendo Switch 2 — Did you get one?
I have a lite. I wish I had asked about getting the Switch when I got mine. I really wish I could play on the TV or monitor instead of always on the Lite. I still will opt for the Switch. Nothing has come to the Switch 2 to justify the purchase.
Did you see Sonic Racing shots fired at Nintendo?
I do get the inclusiveness that Nintendo tries to go for. A simple, not graphics-heavy games that work. A play mechanic that works. But then it’s just the rerelease of the same titles. While a membership provides access to a selection of games from previous consoles, most are unavailable, and the ones that are available present controller mapping challenges.
Subnautica 2 — The Original Devs were Fired.
A lot of people are cautious of a small indie team being brought into a bigger company or publisher. It can change the direction of the game and the reputation of the studio. But at the same time, it may have made sense to the dev team.
Krafton says they didn’t work and did not show up. Either way, Krafton is being sued by the 3 devs. It could be a greed issue, or no one is seeing eye to eye.

From Arc Back to Firefox
Know how I said in the last newsletter that I was praising Arc for being a good browser. Turns out that they have abandon this project for another AI browser project. So I went back home to Firefox. I got the tabs on the side, but not the active tabs like Arc did. But hey, I’m all for trying new software and apps.
From Routine to Affine
Just like I went through this whole thing with Routine. Using their app sucks. It doesn’t load any tasks. Not on the calendar view in the bar at the bottom or in the Inbox tab. So, guess what? I’m going to commit to Affine when they get their mobile app together and out of beta, and it’s not at the risk of losing data. I already like the desktop app. It’s offline. No waiting for data to load because it’s local first.
Update: Affine has been released on mobile. It’s time to see what happens to Notion.
Zorin OS
Is Windows 10 going slow for anyone? Is it just me? Startup is soooo slow. Programs are taking longer to load. So it’s time to think about other operating systems. I googled and decided to go with zorinOS. I can’t upgrade to Windows 11. I can’t afford a new PC, so off to Linux it is. I installed it on an old hard drive that’s not doing anything.
Initial Thoughts
It’s fast. No crazy startup time. No apps are taking forever to load.
Everything seems reliable.
I’m not missing anything in particular on Windows, and I don’t want to go back.
I can access a lot of apps through the browser, like Affine, Notion, and Figma. Other apps are on Linux, like Steam, VS Code, and Spotify.
